Posted - 16 Sep 2006 : 20:43:17 Maybe I sound foolish but I need major help with the newest releases of XMM. I want to start (re)-loading my 1000+ DVD collection. It seems I can only do one title at a time because when I try to use "batch import", I get a message saying I need to import "direct links" first. Then, when I follow instructions and go to the "wizard", I can only do one at a time. The older versions of XMM had a feature called "mass title add" and with that, I could load up as many titles as I wanted and with a single click, could have them ALL downloaded from IMDB. This is what I want to do. Did "batch import" replace "mass title add"? And if so, how can I get "batch import" to work for me? How do import "direct links"?
Thanks,

Posted - 19 Sep 2006 : 01:59:11 Thanks for the input. I played around with the program a lot the last couple of days and found that, for me, the best way was to add movies as a .txt file and then click on the internet link and choosing the wizard. From there I was able to find the direct links and then could use the batch import function. Thanks again!

Posted - 18 Sep 2006 : 23:08:56 What happens if you choose "All in database" from the menu top left (after you click the "Internet" button)? If you get a list of movies, you should then be able to use the link to the right of that to select them all. You can also leave the top one selected (highlighted), grab the scroll bar and move it to the bottom, then hold down Shift while you click the last title in the list. That will highlight everything in between.
You can also click the "MovieID" header to sort them by the earliest to the newest ones first before proceeding as above. |
