Hi,
eXtreme Movie Manager is fully compatible with Windows VISTA. There is anyway a thing to do before start to use XMM.
XMM has very advanced features (like read automatically codec from files, exctract frames etc..) that need administrator provileges to work).
What you have to do is change the Properties of XMM and set it to be compatible with Windows XP sp2 and "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR"
Just right-click on the XMM Icon on your desktop to change these settings.

eXtreme Movie Manager è completamente compatible con il nuovo Windows VISTA. Per usare però tutte le funzioni avanzate del programma (come la lettura delle info dai files, l'estrazione dei fotogrammi ecc...) dovete dare ad XMM i privilegi di amministratore.
Per fare questo basta cliccare con il tasto destro sull'icona di XMM, andare su proprietà e modificarle come in figura.

XMM is great. I am using in on an iMac running Win 7 Bootcamp with absolutely no problems.
One request, would it be possible to have a selection to export the actors database?

Dear Alessio,
your reason for running xmm as Admin are not understandble quote:
XMM has very advanced features (like read automatically codec from files, exctract frames etc..) that need administrator provileges to work).
MediaInfo, which you use in your program, ist running without admin privileges. Mplayer can extract frames as limited user for example. And the rest should also be possible to be made functioning as limited user.

yes i have tested it work fine in xp.. but not tried it yet on vista... any vista user here? |

Ciao Alessio, io ho Windows Vista e dopo aver impostato i settaggi come sopra hai indicato mi appare questo errore:
"Applicazione non correttamente inizializzata (0x000007b). Fare clic su OK per chiudere l'applicazione"
E non parte!!
Come posso fare?
N.B.: Prima di acquistare il programma ho provato la demo e funzionava benissimo... Dopo aver inserito il codice e riavviato come diceva, succede quanto descritto sopra...
Any idea??

Hi,
XMM runs both on XP and Vista. what kind of problem do you have? What error message you receive?

Extreme movie manager in window Vista is compatible with window XP if not why ?
