Hi Alessio,

Can the XMM folder located in the "My Documents" folder be deleted, or possibly moved somewhere else?

I never use the My Docs folder at all.

Did you rename the folder before moving it? It has the same name as the installation file and probably will cause a few problems if you move it to the C:\Program Files directory. If you want to move it to the eXtreme Movie Manager installation folder, you should rename it first. Otherwise, just move the whole folder from My Documents to the root (C:\).

OK, answering my own post here again, you can't move the folder to a different partition as I did the first time because the operating system views hard disk partitions as separate drives. So if you want to relocate the "eXtreme Movie Manager" folder that's currently located in the My Documents folder, you'll have to place it somewhere on the same partition (C:) in order to avoid seeing the nag screen.

Wupps!! Slight problem since moving the eXtreme Movie Manager folder from the My Documents folder to another location. I get a nag screen now every time I close the program!

Yep! Works just fine. I just moved the folder to another partition and got this pretty window when I launched XMM.

I deleted my login name before I posted the image above, so you'll see your own login name where it reads "{Username}" in the path. Click the button at the bottom shown in the image to navigate to where you moved the "eXtreme Movie Manager" folder too.

Hi Glenn,

Just move the folder in a new place, XMM will not find it and will let you select the new location.

Let me know!

Ok, I see in the new release you say you can move the files to a different directory, but I do not see exactly how to do that...can someone explain how I go about moving all the stuff under "My Documents" for XMM to a new directory...

thanks!

Hi Guys,

OK, for the next release I will try to make this folder "changeable" in configuration.

I would like to know if the answer though...Can I move all the directories under "MY documents" to the main Xmm directory in "Program Files" ? Some how on my old PC that is where they all are, but I dont know how I got them to work from there. Seems like there used to be settings where you could tell it where to put things???? I really hate all those directories being under "My Documents"

Help!
Thanks
Glenn

Well, I've answered my own question. I experimented and moved the XMM folder from My Documents to another location after which XMM would not longer start because it couldn't find the language file. Moving it back to the My Documents folder fixed the problem.
