Hi Alessio,
I would like to ask few questions regarding reinstalling the program. Recently I renewed my XP so I had to install the hole thing but I did not know the sure way so after I installed EMM I copied both the old EMM in the program files over the new batch and again I copied the old EMM in My Documents over the new one and yes there are problems some of the info are totally mixed and some pictures too... I am sure there are a better way but unfortunately EMM has no HELP files that address these kind of issues...
So, how do I transfer all the info and pictures into my new install? I also want to ask about My Documents stack.. There are all kinds of data and pictures in both directories (The Program Files and My Documents) so what's the deal with that? Which directory need to keep my files? Since IMBD is not getting any kind of info anymore I won't be able to do it over again 700 movies!!! Thanks before hand sincerely Cem.

well actually erasing all the data in the prog. files made me loose all the pictures and covers! That means when you created the My documents data base, somehow my picture data wasn't transfered from Program Files... I do have to investigate as soon as I hook up my old hard disk where all the old programs are. I will let you know exactly then.

Hi,

The best way is to make a backup of your database folder (and subfolders with pictures). Uninstall XMM and reinstall the latest release from scratch, full version. After that, put your database back in the "my documents\extreme movie manager\database\" folder.

Let me know if you have problems.

Bye!

Alessio
