Posted - 01 Jan 2009 : 01:16:41 I'm trying to use the option "Try to Import Artwork from Hard Disk Too" option when importing my videos from the hard drive, but I can't get it to work.
This is my folder setup: -Movie Name folder ---movie.avi ---cover.jpg ---fanart.jpg
For example: -The Usual Suspects ---movie.avi ---cover.jpg ---fanart.jpg
I tried changing the name of cover.jpg to folder.jpg and movie.jpg, but that doesn't seem to work either.
Am I missing something?
Thanks! |

I have forget about the File monitor!!!
I was think you use the File Scanner, this is why i cannot find the bug!
I will fix it for the next release.
Thank you!

Posted - 02 Jan 2009 : 18:57:33 Hi Alessio, The new .exe you sent me did not change anything, BUT I have more information for you.
I was using the "File Monitor" to monitor a location, and it would never find covers. But if I delete the location from "File Monitor", and then search the hard drive by using Add Movies > Search your Hard Disk for Movies, it now finds covers!
So I think the problem is with the program not finding covers for movies found using the "File Monitor"! |

Please download the latest release 6.6.9.0
Probably will not work, I have change a small thing about the Import of Covers, but will help me on building the EXE for you.
Thank you!

I will make more tests today.
If I need, can I send you a modified EXE file?

Posted - 01 Jan 2009 : 19:27:53 Hi Alessio,
I made sure that all the videos and covers were named movie.xxx, and did your test, but I don't see anything in the cover column of the movie grid. |

Posted - 01 Jan 2009 : 11:17:32 Hi,
At this time this function search pictures that have the same name of the movie file, In your example you should have:
-The Usual Suspects ---movie.avi ---movie.jpg or png, or bmp etc...
So, it's strange that xmm doesn't locate it.
Please make this test for me: open again the File Scanner window (Import from Hard disk), scan again your movie folder.
Now, at end of the movie grid you should see the "cover" column, is there any link to covers?
