Posted - 13 May 2009 : 03:37:53 I noticed someplace in XMM 7.x.xxx that there was some way to have XMM bring in the cover image at the same time that the video was brought in. At least that's what I'm hoping it meant.
Here's my situation and perhaps someone can tell me what I need to do.
I have several hundered TV episodes in a folder, using the naming convention of "SeriesName,S01E01,EpisodeName.wmv". In the same directory I also have an image file for each episode. I use the exact same name as the video file for the image file but with the extension of ".jpg".
The video import works just fine but the image files do not get brought in at the same time as the videos do. They have to be added to each episode record card one at a time, manually
I'd really like to find a more automated approach before I try to tackle the other series'.
Thanks Norm

Posted - 15 May 2009 : 20:22:53 hummm.... I must be doing something wrong.
Would it matter if the directory being imported contained 20 some episode files as well as an equal number of image files? Both episode and image file share the same name just different file type/extensions i.e. WMV & JPG
Would it matter if the image files were files that I created and were based on my own specifications (X & Y pixel dimensions and the file type/extension that I chose)?

There is already such function inside the Hard Disk scanner function, it's called "Try To Import Artwork from Hard Disk Too" (checkbox on right)
When you import episodes this checkbox is checked?
