Posted - 07 Jun 2009 : 18:12:03 Since upgrading to version 7 all the work at my movie database is very very slow. If I do click a movie in the main grid it takes up to 15 seconds before the info comes available. In the versions 6 this was instantaneously! Anybody else who is suffering from this? My system is XP SP3 running on AMD Phenom 92 with 4gig memory, so I think up to the task! I Like the new interface, but its almost impossible to get any work done! |

Posted - 10 Jun 2009 : 10:08:43 Hi All,
from next release XMM should really more reactive also for people that have movies in a LAN.
I have create a separate thread that search for playable files when you select a amovie, so it will not wait anymore to complete the HTML creation.

Posted - 10 Jun 2009 : 08:50:04 Hi Rob!
Bingo! I mean, if you have link your movies to a network, XMM try to look if the movie exist or not, in order to enable/disable the "play" button in the toolbar.
Please try this for me: open the configuration winwod, go in the file reading section and Uncheck the last checkbox "Always check if there is movie to play..."
Let me know,

Posted - 09 Jun 2009 : 22:30:57 well I do have something like 1600 movies and find that some are loading rather fast with authors of and others doen't . Is it possible that the entry's are trying to connect over the network with the actual location of the movies ( DVico TviX player)? This might slow down the prog? |

Posted - 09 Jun 2009 : 19:25:56 Hi, Thanks again.I put a screenshot. You see when I click the movie (Princess or Türev) I wait at least 20 sec.The others film on there quick response. Posted - 09 Jun 2009 : 14:30:26 Should work without much delay... in my DB I have:
1774/1/2/44957
And works correctly with Photos disabled. Of course if I enable the photos, with such number of actors, became really slow...

Posted - 08 Jun 2009 : 20:24:17 hello Alessio Thanks for your (and others) reply. Yes depressing the author button speed thing up rather much. However as mnazmi writes it is still 4-5 movie's quick response and then the next one 10-15 seconds delay..... |

Posted - 08 Jun 2009 : 10:30:09 Hi,
The button is a "checkbox" button, so if you click on it you can enable/disable the picture loading.
Please click on this little button and then load a movie, if you see the actors picture in the HTML card, press the button again to disable it.
You will see a great speed improvement.

Posted - 08 Jun 2009 : 10:14:48 Hi,
Thanks for reply.Unfortunately my actors buton not work.I click but actor's photo always active;not disabling photos. I try another couple of films that has no actor's information (and photos of course) I got same result :It's very slow. And try another HTML card different form movie.html I got same result.
I canceled picture view, quick edit view, back cover; but no change about slowness.
