Hi,
i've created the nfo files for the films in my collection using the xbmc template, but i found out that ì've some problem with the cover file. With the standard template, the path to the cover would be like this:

<thumb>Z:\xmm\Extreme movie manager\Database_cover\757-21-2008.jpg</thumb>

but in xbmc the file is not loaded of course, because the path is not recognized.
I use a SMB share over lan, and i prefer to keep the cover in the same folder the movie is.

i cannot find in the available DB field a way to point to the absolute/relative file path. I've my movie folder organized in many sub-folders, and i'd like the nfo template to follow this criteria while creating the nfo's files.

an example:

local movie path is:

z:\movies
z:\movies\a
z:\movies\b
z:\movies\b\bb

SMB share is: smb://192.x.y.z/movies

what variable can i use in the template editor to identify the relative path from main share?
I've tried to use the "_MOVIE_MOVIEFILE1_.jpg , (adding a .jpg to the end of variable) but this way it creates a link to a file xyz.avi.jpg

so, how to solve the problem?

Thanks

Marco

ps: MAYBE do we needthe creation of a new variable? something like "_MOVIE_MOVIEFILE1_ but with NO EXT?

Hi,

I think the best way is to create a new variable....

I will add this one in the next release:

_MOVIE_MOVIEFILE1_NOEXT_

etc...
