Posted - 06 Oct 2009 : 12:09:04 Whenever EMM for some reason wasn't able to find a movie on IMDB, I would simply copy the IMDB link and paste the full link into the IMDB Link and Web Link Field and the ID into the Page ID Field, choose Quick Update and EMM would use the ID to download the movie information. Now it doesn't seem to matter anymore, if there is an IMDB Link and ID present, because EMM will always go to the full Import Window where it won't find my movie (because it is searching via Title and not ID). So where did the possibility to update a movie according to its Page ID? |

Posted - 07 Oct 2009 : 11:49:44 Hi Alessio, thanks for the tip. I'll try this right away!
EDIT: I just tried it, but no change. You are referring to the IMDB Link Field I assume (between Custom Field 7 and 9)?
I also tried it with "Web Imported" ticked on and with Page ID, used Script and Weblink filed out, but no luck. I can choose quick update selected elements, quickupdate with standard script or select the wizard, nothing helps. I was only able to import this last movie by removing the entire name except one word. Only then I received the correct result (but EMM was still not using the ID instead it was searching via name again) |

Posted - 07 Oct 2009 : 07:08:18 Hi Nikl,
Just paste the link of IMDB (the whole link http://www.imdb etc...) in the custom8 field.
Should work as you want.
