hi!

i have list of 200-300 movies and i want to get informations for
those movies (genre, rating etc..)

i have Excel file or TXT file (comma delimeted). TXT file looks
like this:

Movie Name;IMDB link
Forrest Gump;http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1375666/
Avatar;http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0499549/

etc (~300 movies)...

My question is can I:

a) save TXT file (Movies.TXT) with only "IMDB link" column
b) open this TXT file in XMM
c) select in XMM "Update from Internet"
d) select IMDB script
e) press START

and that XMM gets ALL INFO's without asking any
question (because it has specified EXACT movies
with IMDB link).

I want to avoid situations when you have different
movies with same name and XMM then doesn't know
what to do because it have multiple possibilities
(for example Clash of the Titans from 2010 and
Clash of the Titans from 1981). I want to specify
exact IMDB link for XMM (in this case it would be
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0800320/
and
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082186/) so that
I don't need to choose myself for every movie
which XMM is confused.

Sorry if this is stupid question and sorry for my
bad English :).

Hi!

It's not a stupid question! You can do this, just follow these instructions:

1) Import your file with the "Import from CSV" function (You can found it in the Import from other sources)

2) Here, load your CSV file, then assign the Title to Title (of course) and the IMDB Link to "Custom 8" field.

Now that you have add all movies you can use the IMDB Script to import it automatically

Please let me know if you have problems!

Ale
