Hello Guys,

JDommi is right, XMM is a bit slow in loading but there are a lot of things to load up. I know that maybe some other softwares are quicker, but indeed they have really less function compared to XMM...

As the title say, this is a software for "extreme" collectors, that want everything. If you play a bit with it you will found functions that you will not found in any other software... and with time you will not live without

It would be interesting to know what type of Computer set up the XMM is bing run on? Memory, Processor speed and Disk Fragmentation all play a MAJOR factor in the preformance of any application.

Having been in the IT field for 44 years now, I could go into detail about the importance of system maintenance and Tuning and what you need to do to get the fastest possible configuration to support any application but it would take longer than a simple forum post could handle.

Well, less functions less delay and more functions more delay ;)
It's your decision if only criteria is speed...

I have test another Movie database.

Called: Movie Label 2011. And its really quick no delay.

I think gonna used Movie Label 2011.

JDommi thank you for your help.

I think the messages don't cause the loading time so much. Maybe Ale can set a start parameter to supress them.
And the database - just check it with MSAccess if there is any wasted data. I never have looked at as the size doesn't matter for me.

Cons:

- its takes 15 sec to load the entire program
- annoying Loading window
- the example is about 24MB with only 30 dvds

1. When is time to get off the annoying window ??

To first: No, the status messages are always shown. There isn't existing any version without.
To second: My database (about 1500 movies and series) has a size of 190 MB. I don't think that this is too much for all those entries. You only can try to use the compress function in the database tools menu.
