Thats strange, In my PC Windows media Player can play the IFO Files directly.

Have you try to associate it with ?

Might be a good idea. Because the IFO file does not start the player. Can you recommend a player that would start the VOB files from an IFO file?

OK, I will make new test with IFO and let you know...

Maybe I will try to change it, if there is a IFO, search for the VOB to play.

I bet that is the problem. When I click an IFO file the player opens but doesn't play! I do use the import Ripped DVD function
best

OK, I will try to make test by myself.

Usually for Ripped DVD i use the function to import "Ripped DVD in the Hard Disk".

This function search the IFO File and not the VOB, and then it plays this IFO with the player.

Can this be the problem?

Yes I have associated files with a number of players (VLC player, Blaze player. The associated player opens, when I push the play button in XMM but does not play the vob file. If I go outside the program and double click a VOB icon the player starts up and plays. real problem
Alessio Viti Posted - 09 Jan 2012 : 06:40:18
Is it possible that your VOB files are not associated to any player?

I mean, if you double click on the vob files under windows, they get played?

Because XMM simply "launch" the movie file, but if is not associated to any player nothing wil happen.

Please let me know,

Ale

The "Play" function does not work on right click, on Movie card, on actions to select or on double click of movie icon (which I activated). The movies are ripped onto my hard disk (VOB) and I am using windows 7. The "Play" function is very important to me. I migrated to extreme movie manager from My Movies.
