Version 8 screwed up my whole database

first, no information regarding cast/crew was imported from v7 database, which means i had to re-download all the information for my 1700 movies

second, after deleting a few movies and then performing a MovieID Renumbering, everything got messed up: 'Jaws' now points to the movie file of 'Jeeper Creepers', 'Thor' is now 'Timber Falls' and this for the whole collection!!!

also, automatic importing doesn't work, set filename as foldername doesn't work, fewer options than before (only 6 different moviecards????) and the list goes on and on

i'm sorry to say, but this release is a joke!

so i go to back to version 7 and was just wondering if the importing scripts will still be updated for v7, otherwise i'm gonna have to switch to another database manager

Hello Bollier,

Maybe you have not check the "import also actors/director"?

You can continue to use XMM 7 has you want... everything is free so you can do exactly what you want...

I think that a lot of users are still working with V7.
In my eyes XMM8 is still somewhere between alpha and beta. So don't worry about the scripts...
