Posted - 25 Apr 2011 : 14:36:18 Hey.
For me the DVD-Palace Script didn't work any more (no search results) so I messed around a bit with MagicScript...
Finaly, I've fixed and updated the DVD-Palace script and I want to share it with you. Unfortunatly I can't give support on bugs, because I can't test every single movie with its different search results and I don't have that much time. But I will have a look after it... because the only two scipts which I'm using are DVD-Palace and OFDB. :P For me the script now works quite good.
Changelog:
* Updated Website Parsing
* Added support for EAN/UPC search
* Added support for the field "awards"
* Added support for the field "media type"
* Added support for the field "EAN/UPC"
* Added support for the field "media language"
* Added support for german umlauts
* Added option to show 20 or 40 search hits
* Updated Intelligent Directlink Engine with EAN (works for DVD and Blu-ray)
* Stripped support for the fields
- "closed captioned subtitles"
- "user comments"
- "user rating"
- "features"
- "media language"
because its useless or nearly never available on website
* Stripped crossloading from dvdb.de because its not needed I hope its usable for some of you...
###UPDATE###
Well, I had to do some bugfixes: - listing of multiple genres - loop in subtitles if nothing listed - some checks of variables

Posted - 22 Apr 2012 : 09:54:34 Hey. Alessio, I've mailed the script to you.
Maybe it looks a bit weird that someone from Australia uses a german script. Let me say it in this words: Bevor ihr mich nach Österreich steckt, bin ich lieber jemand aus Deutschland, der Australien mag. |

The link doesn't work...

Posted - 16 Apr 2012 : 20:05:43 Thanks for the update, rocman! I will update it on the wiki when it's "officially" in the scripts. I think there are a few that have to be updated on the site. Btw. how does german scripts fit with Australia? Is there only a letter too much? |

Posted - 16 Apr 2012 : 19:49:58 Hi. After a "long" time, here's a small bugfix for the DVD-Palace script.
Fixes: - "big" cover download - some subtitles are not properly fetched from website when using the "big" cover download - search for studio and distributor optimized
That's it. For me the script works. Maybe someone can update the status in the wiki: http://xmm.a.wiki-site.com/index.php/Overview

Posted - 08 Aug 2011 : 20:43:12 Hmm... strange thing. Now the script doesn't work for me either... The downloaded webpage looks now much different than before. Before I had the whole html in a single line, now it is more structured and I have to use much more #FINDLINE#s. I dont know whether DVD-PALACE changed their website or it was a browser problem (recently I updated to FF5)...
However, I fixed the script and it should work better now. Furthermore I added a preview function for the mediatype (DVD-VIDEO, BLU-RAY, HD-DVD) in the movielist search results.

Posted - 13 Jun 2011 : 10:46:21 There was a change on the #FINDLINE# command. Ale has added a parameter to search for the next NON EMPTY line. Maybe the bug is related to this. For the detailed syntax have a look at the MagicScript documentation, please.
*EDIT* Sorry, it was not #FINDLINE# but #READNEXTLINE#=1 |

Posted - 13 Jun 2011 : 09:53:48 Hmm... Strange thing... Sounds like the same problem I had with the old revision of the script. Do you use the newest version of XMM?
Maybe you can try the old version (prior to my changes). I've uploaded it here (the oldest version I found): http://www.share-online.biz/dl/24FKXPMLQES ATTENTION: This is'nt a new version of the script! This is the script whithout any changes made by me. Download for testing purposes.
I think there is a problem with #FINDLINE# and #FIND#. For me the script only works with a single #FINDLINE# at the first search. The old script uses much more #FINDLINE#s...

quote: Can you write something more about the error?
The error is simple: I get no search results at all. Even with the newest update. Other scripts like IMDB, OFDB or Cinefacts are working fine (.
quote: What movie are you searching for?
Tested: Up in the air, Inception, Matrix, Pulp Fiction
quote: I don't know how XMM parses the websites but maybe it's a default browser problem? What is your default browser? I work with Mozilla Firefox 4...
Forefox 4 is my default browser.

Posted - 04 Jun 2011 : 15:58:08 Hmm... I'm sorry. For me the script still works well. DVD-Palace changed some links for images and thats why mediatype and mpaa are not recognized correct but all other things are working.
I've updated the script and now everythings works fine: http://www.share-online.biz/dl/TXMPQ9MLGE

I've the same problem here. The script seemed to be broken. Also out of order: Cover-Paradies script.

Posted - 24 May 2011 : 16:41:08 I've tried today the script. But it doesn't work for me. Is anybody else there who're experience the same problems? |

Posted - 28 Apr 2011 : 22:37:03 After running the script against some more movies in my database, i fixed some bugs (mainly for DVDs) and added some features.
Changelog: * added support for user comments again with option for number of comments to download * added support for the field "official web" * fixed bug with movie titles shorter than five characters * optimized parsing for ambiguous html tags on DVD-Palace website * optimized performance
http://www.share-online.biz/dl/LHKEQDKLGBZ
Furthermore I have a question. Sometimes some fields are not imported (for example packaging). Why? If I run the scipt against the movie with the MagicScript debugger the value for the field is correctly read (variable is filled) but it is not imported and not shown in eXtreme Movie Manager. |
