Hi Alessio,
i ran into some bugs regarding the author field.
Updating book via script and choosing "overwrite": authors will remain, new authors will be added
Tools-Clean Fields on selected Items: All -> does not clean Authors
If you clean the authors via editing the table they are no more visible in the table but they are still there (if you edit the book, you can see them)
Add Author manually: There is no drop down list with authors already added to other books (but the arrow indicates a dropdown field)
