HI, I keep getting an error which says "Deleted movies detected" "There are some Movies that are missing(probably deleted), do you want see it now?" When I click yes.I get a list of 42 movies which are in my data base. All looks OK but I would like to stop the error from popping up. I reindexed my data base but that did not help. |

There is an option to diabled/enable the file monitor on startup. Try to disable it. With a little luck you won't get the message anymore after a restart and re-enabling the function. Unfortunately I don't know where XMM stores the file monitor results as I never have used it. |

Thanks jdommi, I unchecked all three boxes in the file monitor option. I only have dvd's in my DB anyway. that should do it thanks for the fast response. |

I had the same problem. I edited the movie info.. don't remember where, but that doesn't matter really. Anyway that message stopped popping up when I load EMM, but once loaded the status bar of EMM would have a little red x saying movie ##### could not be found, etc.. couldn't click on it or anything to bring up anyway to see what was the problem. So I came here and saw this post, turned off all 3 options in file monitoring and its gone now. Thx man!
BTW I tried renumbering movies, finding and deleting holes and all of that with no results until I turned off all file monitoring. |

How does XMM knows that a file (movie) is deleted from the disk ? I deleted several movies, but they are not deleted from XMM. Is there an option if the disk is scanned for new files, it also detect that a file is deleted from disk ?, and could be deleted from the database ? |

Advanced Tools>Collection Maintenance>Locate Missing files
If you do that against your database you should get a list of the files that are missing, simply select them all in EMM and then delete them from there. I NEVER use file monitoring either |

one remark here: why do so many new features have to be introduced this way? i mean, i was happy without the error showing up since years (and without file monitoring as well).
i would hope new features start to be more like a feature.. not a bug which causes trouble for people who never asked for it. (leave alone the many user requests or bug reports that get less priorities than some new features :( )
