In Extreme movie manager 7 there was an option to move the from the First of the title to the last. Why isnt it in 8? When it converted my database from 7 to 8 it changed everything back to where the THE is at the first. Any solutions out there, Thank you. |

That feature is in version 8.Go to Options and select the Tab "Title Cleaning". The forth checkbox down from the top is "Put 'THE" at the beginng of the title Towards the end".
Thanks, Norm |

Yes, it is there, but it does not work when I use it. I still have to move "the" to the end manually. |

Have you tried using the Title Cleaning feature in the Tools section?
Goto to Tools and select Fields Manager (Movies). In the new windows, select the tab Clean Fields. There's only one button there and it will perform the Title Cleaning as is currently defined in the Options Title Cleaning tab. Keep in mind that you need to select the files you want cleaned.
Hope This Helps, Normn |

Never Mind.... I see Ali added a special button to do the move of "The" directly instead of through Clean Fields tab function that already existed.
Thanks, Norm |

Where is that button? I had checked "Move The at the end of title" before scanning and still all titles with The are in front of the title?!?! Is there a way to clean them and put them all at the end in one shot? |

Go to the Tools menu and select the Fields Manager. On tab Modify Fields there is top right before the Search field the button Move "The" to the end of Title. |

Well I know that but that button DOES NOT DO anything (version 8.5.2). Prompt pops up "Move the to the end of title". And when You press yes nothing happens. The is still in front of title?!?!

I just have tested it and it DOES WORK for me.
Open the Modify Fields, select the movies you wanna process or simply select all in that window and then press the button. That's all... |

Well for me it DOES NOT. I tried numerous times. On top of all when I tried to select all movies (not only the one with The in title) and click move the at the end, I SCREWED up my collection in sense the it put title for 50 - 60 movies just as ,The so I have to manually edit all of them :(
The funny thing is that it put ", The" as a title for movies which do not contain The in the title. |

Try to do a full installation again please. Btw. I'm using the 8.5.2, too. If the installation doesn't solve the problem then write an email to alessioviti -at- binaryworks.it - maybe he can help you.
