I am a registered user of this excellent software but find that every so often I have to re-download as when I got to Import from the internet I get the message "This copy of extreme movie manager HAS EXPIRED! You can't import information from the internet. Go to the official web page to download a new release." I'm using 4.8 Build 1.

Hi,
It's strange, are you sure you have download the 4.8 from the registered user's area?
Please open the Information Window and read the ID of your copy, it must start with 'R'
Let me know!

I have but what I did was just replace the exe file each time as per the instructions in the registration email. This time I have uninstalled and used the installer from the registered area so I will see if that works.
My ID does begin with an 'R'

Hej Alessio, it's been a while since I last wrote here anything, but that is only because everything has been perfect with the XMM until today.
This morning I could easily import informations about new movies I added to XMM database, but not anymore. Don't know whether it's connected to the new ALPHA release of XMM, but now when I try to import info I get the same message as described above by rockdj99uk.
Maybe this new release makes the previous releases obsolete. I'm using 4.8.1 version downloaded through the registered user's area (also ID of my copy starts with R). Somehow it stopped working properly during last 12 hours.
Help please.
JUST CHECKED and have important clue. I bought XMM exactly one year ago (the date I got the message with the password to registered user area). Does it mean that after a year any copy registered for me is not valid anymore?? Strange, there was no info about that. |

Hi Kipcior,
All copies of XMM are valid, I mean that when you buy XMM all future upgrades are abosolutely free! Your copy is not expired!
Maybe your problem is related to my server, please write me a private email, so I can check better with you the problem.
Thank you,
Alessio |

Looks like it was just temporary problem because everything is fine at the moment. Maybe there was a short problem on the server and the function checking validity of my copy returned the wrong value. Anyway thanks for your help. |
