When I add movies via Device Scanner it populates all the info except the movie year is blank. What do I need to do to get Device Scanner to add this info also?

The movie year is only taken if it's in the filename or in the .nfo file. Otherwise you have to import it by any script.
In order to achieve what is possible, you have to try the impossible over and over again.
