Hello.
Tried to import my old collection from 4.8 build 1 and have problems.
Nothing is imported. Maybe because in DURATION(LENGTH) of movies I have string instead of integer(conversion from string "120 min" to long failed). I have e.g. "125 min" instead of "125" only, then when I import database, nothing is imported - empty database and error occured after loading it.
Error is:
An error has occured (Probably the database is opened by another aplication), please restart XMM.
If this error persist, error ID is: C1

Hi,
Please download the alpha 11 (I have upload it few minutes ago).
Create a new empty database, because I have change something in database structure.
If error persist, please write me an email.

Same bug/problem in alpha12 as I described before.
What about my test database which I sent you?
Maybe problem is in MASK of the date?
I tries dd.mm.yyyy but in my database is, I dont know why, sometimes format dd.m.yyyy
e.g.
Prince and Me - Last modify: 14.1.2006, Date of insert: 14.01.2006
Maybe this is the problem when importing???
On another computer tried I think alpha8 version and here my database was imported correctly:-(
Any info about my database and your test with it? Have you same problems or only me?

Maybe problem could be in RATING import also.
In old database I have e.g. "88%" -> could it be the problem? I mean "%"

Sorry for my late reply. I have try your DB in my PC and all seem to be OK, you should capture a screenshot of XMM + the message error, so I can see your fields and grid.
The problem with dates is that in the past this field was a string, so every guy has has a different "values" stored on it, I am trying to find a solution to import correctly this value.
About Rating: Also this field is changed now, I need to male some tests.
Anyway, the "%" will not imported because this field is numeric now.

Thanks for reply.
Yesterday I found the problem.
I installed this prog on 2 computers and same problem as I described with newer version as alpha8.
Now I know why.It is because => when I open FIELDS-OPEN FIELDS MANAGER-here I have FIELDS ADDED TO GROUP column and here I have MOVIEID field manytimes(300times?)
When I click on RESTORE DEFAULT FIELDS, then everything is OK!!!! So maybe in your older ALPHA version was a bug which created these silly fields and then any other version didn't reset it to correct values, so every database was "corupted,never imported,no editing or creating possible".
Now "right" defaults stored globally, so no problem at all now!:-)

Tried to create moviecard and one cosmetic bug. Why when I have added e.g. 3 actors, then they are displayed in this format? => "Anthony Hopkins ()"

Maybe one more question. It is possible, when I import some informations about film from WEB, to use direct link if exist and if not, then try to find it manually?Good for loading new informations from directlink which was outdated in time of importing(rating,comments...)
You have feature "Take first directlink automatically" but I think it has another function as I described above - when script find directlink without manual choose, then load info about these films and then give us a choose to find right name of movies which have not been automatically founded. Am I right?
Both features are useful(your and my) so it is possible to be present in future versions?
