When I run the Alpha 12, it says "This database is NOT compatible" even if I didn't choose any DB; also it says "Operation disallowed if closed object".
I try to compact and repair database, then it says:

************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. The application must also be compiled with debugging enabled.
For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi Nekromant
Please delete this key in the window registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\eXtremeMovieManager
And start XMM again. Please let me know if you still have problems.
Thank you!

Same problem, it says "The database is NOT compatible".
I never couldn't use the XMM since I set Windows XP SP2, but with Windows 2003 server it ran...
It's very strange!

Hi Nekromant,
Please delete all the old database examples, I think that you have an old one with different fields.
When you have delete it (or just copy in another place), XMM should tell you that a new empty database will be created.
Another way is to rename the entire XMM folder and install it again.
Please let me know. Alessio |

No, same errors; I have tried one more time the 4.8 version but it fails. I have deleted all the DB and I have created a new one, but it says Database not recognized. When I create the database, the default database text at the bottom is correct, but if I restart XMM, then appears "Pippo-asdhdkkf" as the default database text, always appears that words...
I don't know what else I can try, I couldn't use XMM since M$ released the SP2, XMM fails on 2 computers...
Is there a debug option on XMM that can help you to identify the problem? I'm very frustrated...

Hi,
It's a real mistery this problem, this because I have XP SP2 too in my PC and I think all others members in team.
Your XP is the "normal" 32 bit or 64bit?
The strange thing is that also 4.8 doesn't work.
I will try to make a little EXE just for test database opening and let you know...
Thank you for your patience!

Hi Nekromant,
Please download this little EXE that read the database, just to test if works or not.
http://www.binaryworks.it/files/dbtest.zip
Please report me the error messages.
Thank you!

Similar problem here although 4.8 still seems to work ok.
See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

I couldn't use XMM 4.8 since I have installed the SP2 on Windows XP 32 bits, before that it ran ok.
I don't know what else it happens, because it fails on two different computers...
