Congratulations for the new release!
If it 32-bit only, publish please 64-bit version too, because I have very big database and 32-bit version don't able to deal with it.
Thank you very much, Michael |

Alessio hi,
It's not the matter of quicker or slower, it's the matter of memory limitations. I have more than 11,200 movies in collection, and God only knows how many actors in database. In this situation the XMM takes 3Gb of RAM, and if it's 32-bit, it must to occupy low memory and to compate with other 32-bit programs. Usually it is not possible, and XMM fails to start. It's true, I investigated it a lot.
For me personally it is not a problem to stay with 64-bit XMM8, but i think, that if You don't planning to release the 64-bit version of XMM9 too, You're going to receive many complains from Your customers about XMM start failures because memory limitations of 32-bit prog.

Hi Alessio,
OK, the 64-bit release works fine Thank You very much. Now You should make the 64-bit version update to 64-bit version, because once upon a time I updated the 64-bit version to 32-bit version through update UI of the XMM and it was a total disaster.
BTW, I don't understand why do You claim that 64-bit version works slowly. For me it's works very quickly, and I don't have especially strong machine (i5 with 8Gb RAM). |

I once had installed the 64-bit version and every window that opens took about 2 minutes. Beside that I still have installed Office 2003 and the 32-bit drivers for. My experiences with other 64-bit applications are not so crass but in general they are a little bit slower. |

Can I switch to 64 Bit once my database gets too big without much effort or should I start using 64bit from the beginning? |

Thanks for reply, but it is actually same install file as I already had. Reinstalled it, and Task Manager shows this:
Name PID Status User name CPU Memory (private working set) Platform Description eXtreme Movie Manager.exe 3376 Running Palle 00 610.240 K 32 bit eXtreme Movie Manager
As well as the Tittle bar shows: extreme Movie Manager 9.0.0.7 (32 bit)- PVc Movie Database.mdb (Portable)
So - how do I get the 64 bit version downloades and installed ??
