Looks like I've just upgraded to version 9. Quite a few issues (but not just related to upgrade) would be grateful for any support 1. Adding films is ok but getting them auto-updated with infi is not. When a choice screen presents there are only red crossed boxes and no film title against the choices? 2. I have lost the movie id-no column - how to I get it to show again? 3. When auto numbering my collection alphabetically the system randomly adds 20,0000, 40,0000, 60,0000 or 80,000 before the id no number? I only have 6,0000 films cataloged. 4. For some of the ribbon bars (like view) a little icon - an arrow pointing to the tight downwards appears - what is this (and if it a link to more options how do I access them - never been able to work this out.
As you may glean I am not "techie" so any help would be gratefully received. |

Thank you - I'll wait.
Another issue when the search engine is looking for a movie it will go on and on without stopping a reporting a fail. Neither the Just Clear queue or clear queue and ..... buttons will stop the search?

1. Which script do you use? What's your settings? Is the automatic update in the options activated? Do you use the latest script(s)? 2. Just click on any column title and select the Column Choser from the popup menu. Now add the movie id and drag it to the position you want to. 3. I never have used the renumbering function as is didn't worked as it should - then. So I unfortunately can't say anything to that behaviour. 4. You only have to click on that little down arrow and a pull down menu opens immedeatly.
The looping script is a sign that you don't have the latest script. That happened one week ago as IMDB has changed the search results page. Maybe that's the cause for your question #1... To exit this loop you can only do the hard way and close XMM. |

I use the quick update IMDB.com (fastest). Not sure which settings you mean? Auto update is activated. If I spot an update on opening I will run it.
2. Just click on any column title and select the Column Choser from the popup menu. Now add the movie id and drag it to the position you want to.
Yes I have done this – thank you but…..
3. I never have used the renumbering function as is didn't worked as it should – then. So I unfortunately can't say anything to that behaviour.
…… I now still have the tens of thousands (and now 100,000) before random films. Is there any way you can think of to remove these that would avoid a manual amendment of over 3,000 movie ids?
3. You only have to click on that little down arrow and a pull down menu opens immediately.
This has never happened and clicking on the arrow just closes the visible options Is it possible that the options are already opened up? When I click on View, for example, it brings up a drop down with Skins, Show/Hide panels and Reset - all with the arrows below each but clicking on any of them just closes the options and does not bring any more?
Am I able to check if I have the latest scripts?
Thank you.

1. IMDB fastest... I think this one is still not corrected - simply forgotten.
quote: You can correct it yourself: Open the script with any text editor, search for :REPEATMTITLES. Two lines later is the line of code to change. #FINDPREVIOUS#=<img src="http:#10# #ONERROR#=*OK* <-- remove the colon after http
3. Sorry, to that I can only ask you to make a backup of your database and try it yourself. I once have destroyed my own database with that and I don't have used the renumbering since then.
4. For me that works perfectly well... try to keep the mouse button pressed. As example "Adding a Movie" will show different ways of adding a new movie.
5. Latest scripts: just go to the help menu and click "Check for Updates" |

I will have a play around.
One last question please: some of my movies are now coming up in German using the MovieDBORg - any idea how I can stop this?
Thanks

Reset the script to english. As I have made the last script changes I always forget to change the options back again. Have a look at the Advanced Script Options while selecting a script for import.
Inside the XMM program folder there is a tool called ASO.exe that backups/restores your personal settings on XMM and each script. Use it before and after each update and you will have always the correct settings. |
