Hi,
I am facing an issue with XMM. Whenever I add a new TV series and select all the episodes (for eg it has 5 seasons with 10 episodes per season), the script finishes retrieving the details and then the application just stops responding. I let it run for almost 1.5 hours assuming it might be updating in the background, but still no response. Can anyone help me for the same? |

Sounds like your database is corrupted.
When you have the 32-bit release of XMM then try to "Compact & Repair" in the database menu.
Keep in mind to make a backup before proceeding - just to be on the safe side. |

| The database is fine when I force end the application. All the previous records are safe. This happens to me only when I tend to update multiple season of a tv series in one go. The application freezes. I have to then update it few episodes at a time which is a tedious manual work. |

That happens during the import, haven't recognized that. I have thought it's on showing the card.
Then it's depending on the script you are using.
Please tell me which one that is and at what block the script stucks. Best would be when you would give an example on which show/episode that occurs. And what script settings you are using. |

| Apologize for the confusion. I have been trying to import the details of Vikings - Season 1 to 4 using the script IMDB.com (TV series) for rel.8.txt |

| The script engine status window shows the scripts have finished executing and successfully imported the details. And then the main application window freezes along with the script status dialog. |

I just have tested it without problems. It took about 15 minutes for all episodes of season 1 to 4.
I only can think of the database size. Sometimes it takes a few minutes until XMM has saved the database changes to disk.
Please have a look how big your database is and how much free space the drive with your database has.
Therefor the script itself can't be the problem. |

| I tried the same script again. Again with the same result. As I mentioned before the script executes successfully but the application freezes after that. And this always happens with the script (IMDB.com (TV series) for rel.8.txt). I had to import using THETVDB script and it works just fine. |

To 1: Go to the Scripts folder of XMM and open the script with any text editor. There you will find this block.
To 2: Select a TV Show -> Right mouse click -> "Update with a different Script"
Select the desired script.
On the right you have the Advanced Script options: standard view is "the selected options" in block #SETOPTIONS#. When you now select the other tab on the right top you can select the fields that you wanna import with this script. Keep in mind that some fields are not visible there as the existing blocks/fields can contain multipüle import info. |

Only thing I can advice is to download the latest release and install XMM over the existing release.
Then download this file manually as the content is not yet included in XMM: http://www.mediafire.com/file/t3x29gqg265i197/Updates_XMM9.rar

The new version of cover manager starts with an error message and a "connection string" windows pops up.
BTW1: Is there a way to start cover manager from within xMM?
BTW2: Is cover manager able to recognize the several pictures categories (front, back, fanart, screenshot)?

When the "connections string" window appears simply go on "build" and select your database on tab "connection".
BTW1: Only if Ale adds it to the plugin menu as it already was in XMM 7
BTW2: Of course! It's under "change category". What's missing are the episode pics and the actor pics.
