When I use script imbd.com I obtain the error of active Firewall. With the magicscript editor it detects to me that the error is in the commando # opennewweb # in all the line in which it appears

Hi,
This happens if XMM cannot connect to internet. Have you any firewall installed in you PC that can block XMM?

I regret that it appears that this is heppening much more frequently since I downloaded 5.7.6.0 -imdb.com is failing on all movies I tried in the last 2 days with errors such as "The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.5" and "Error downloading the #OPENNEWWEBPAGE#, are you still connected to internet? Please take a look if your FIREWALL blocks eXtreme Movie Manager!!!". I do not have a firewall as I am downloading from home. Unfortunately this has left me in a position where I cannot use the best script, and I cannot even go back to the previous version of eXtreme Movie Manager. |

Hey, it's easy to say what's the problem. Just go and look at the imdb.com site. They've recently rebuild the site, the way they publis movie informations therefore the script has to be rebuilt to fit the new layout. So, we can just wait for the imdb.com script's update. |

Posted this in the scripts thread... posting it here.
If you're getting the "OPENWEBSLOT" error, a temporary fix that seems to work for me is to set the "Trivia" option to "0". You won't get trivia data, but since the script is already missing several other pieces of information, you'll probably be running the updated script later anyway.

It's not a problem with errors, the whole Imdb.com site has been changed ant script is not downloading data anymore, eve if there are no errors. I guess the whole script must be rewriten to work. |

While the IMDB script gets "automagically" re-written by a kind soul, any suggestions as to what other script to use (obviously non-IMDB) to get as much movie data as possible in English?
TIA |

I was able to get a couple pieces of data from the site... definitely not all of it, though. It seems like different people were getting different errors too... anyways...
Non-issue now since Alessio's working on it. :)

Were can I find this "Trivia option" you are talking about? Looks like this script problem wasn't so easy to fix, today is 24 Feb and IMDB is still not working.
