I just bought extreme movie manager. (if you don't recognize my email - i used the creditcard + mail from a friend) .. but XMM Liveupdate doesn't work. It thinks there is no internet connection. I don't use a firewall. Can you tell me how to fix it? I use EMM 5.1.9.0
thanks in advance |

Hi,
It's strange, you are the only one that report this problem, maybe the server was down in that moment.
Please let me know if XMM can import movie informations correctly.
Thank you!

when i try to import a movie it doesn't give an error but doesn't find anything. Is there anyway to update the script manually? |

Mmmm, cannot you find information with any script? Please let me know, because I think you have a connection problem.
Have you any proxy?

I do not use a firewall. I'm connected to the internet behind a nat router (linksys WRT54GC) - every other program works correctly. - i installed the shareware version of 4.8 and it could connect without a problem. (update movies) - the new version isn't able to connect. |

If I check tcpview it looks the application wants to connect to webs155.aruba.it I cannot ping this name. Is it correct and has this anything to do with it? |

Hi,
My website (http://www.binaryworks.it) is hosted by "Aruba.it", so I think that webs155.aruba.it is the name of the server. So, this is normal.

Hi,
The reason, if you have firewall like ZoneAlarm, is that it "block" XMM and don't let it to go online. Now you have two ways:
1) Open ZonaAlarm and let XMM to connect to internet (if you know ZoneAlarm)
2) Delete the whole XMM folder (after a backup) and reinstall XMM, so ZoneAlarm will ask you if new XMM can connect to internet.
