Hi,
It's easy! just press the "internet" import button to open the Directlinks Import Window.
Here, at top, select to show movies "Without Covers".
Now select all movies and import with Script you want
Let me know if you have problems!

Thank you, Alessio, that's a feature, I didn't know :-) Unfortunately, it doesn't work. It seems as if all movie already have a cover. If I choose the menu "without covers" no movies are shown. I've made a screenshot as an example:

All movies were imported from an old version 4.8.

Hi,
Yes, you are right, XMM write you that movies has already covers because the Cover's Field is not empty.
A question: when you have import your old database of 4.8 have you manually copied the covers from old directory to new one?
Another thing: I have see from your picture that there are movies without title? This should be not possible!

Dear Alessio,
after the import of the old DB I copied the covers manually to the new directory. I looked at the movie and possibly found the error: the field "Quick Edit View" -> "Files" -> "Cover" contains a text none.jpg. If I delete this text (empty field) the movie is recognized as a movie without cover. When did the text appear in this field? After import I used the function "Delete all covers except the first" in order to delete all covers except the first. Is it possible that this function fills the field with the mentioned text "none.jpg"?
Is there a possibility to mass edit this field and to remove the text "none.jpg" from the cover field from all movies?
The movies title field is empty because I manually edited the picture so that only one movie is visible. So it is not a bug in XMM, as there are other titles visible in the XMM :-) |

Alesio,
Is there anyway you could send me the SQL you used to detect movies without covers ? I don't think it works fully, there are some movies that it miss. thanks ! |

Hi Jamestan,
The part of the query is this: " where [Cover] = '' "
But you are right, this is not correct! I have see it only now.
I will try to fix for next release.
