Greetings,
It would be really nice to have http://www.moviemeter.nl also added to the scripts. Other dutch site which is in the program doesn't support much movies.
Thanks Odieke |

I have a simple request, lets plan out the elimination of Scripting altogeather Now that I have your attention and hopefully before the flaming starts, please hear me out.
The eXtreme Movie Manager is by far and a way the best movie (and TV) management system I've ever encountered. Most people who are Movie enthusiest's however, are not programmers. Their just people that like to watch movies and they have so many that they no longer know what they have, where it and it cases, what the movie was about. The one thing they do know is that, like music enthusiest's, there are certain web sites that are better than others.
Back Ground: The newest version of eXtreme Movie Manager is more complex, has a much higher learning curve and provides more tools and capabilities within MagicScript to enable the user's to work directly with the EMM engine and the actual data collection processes. Everything a person needs to map your physical video assests to the correct data located at a hand picked web site... Everything is better... Right?
Problem: Every class of enthusiest has different expectations and understandings of the application and the over all projects. The one common element which cuts across those classes has to do with the question of "What will I have to do to get this application to do what "I" Want/Need it to do. Typically their alking about everything from Linking to a web site, Finding the data, connecting the data up to the Database of Movie/TV data records.
Opportunity: Since the user already has the Video on DVD's or Video files on their hard drive, The next critical thing to happen is to connect the video records to the Internet data. The number of sites claiming to have the most amount of data is growing as fast as the Internet is. While MagicScript is the current tool towards developing links to Internet data, it is not a tool for typical Movie/TV enthusiest.
I'd like to propose another approach towards creating Scripts. Basically having the user manually do the collection process step by step while recording their activities from the browser. The collected data would then be pulled into a application and get converted (if needed) to MagicScript. This would more easily allow user's to quicly add new sources of information.
Thanks for reading this... I'd be interested to hear from others think about this idea or hwo to improve it.
Thanks, Norm |

Hello Im an old user of this program, from the time it was called Divx Manager (i think this was the name), i must confess that at first ive used pirated versions for a few months but then i bought the program because its the most complete movie manager program there is and it desearves the support (and lets face it: €10 is an excelent price for the amount of quality this software has). Just wondering if you could make a script for the Gamespot website http://www.gamespot.com/, i know this is a movie manager and not a game manager program, but it would be great to enjoy this excelent software for games also. Many thanks to the maker of this program for making such a great product :)
ps: how do you make the scripts, is it some sort of programmer language or you use a program to do that?
