Hi, trying to renew my collection. i started to export only some fields in my old database, but when i try to make csv export the first field doesnt appear in "" symbols so i thing its the problem that makes my import unsuccesful.
and another point is in csv export window if you can put other options to seperate fields exept comma (like |) it will be better because some fields have comma inside (example comments..)

I have changed a bit the excel export in 5.3.5.0
About importing from CSV, send to me your file, I will make some tests.

Any new information?
I'm using 5.3.9.0 an tried to import the following line withput any success:
"Titel";"CatalogNo";"Medium"
"Winnetou I";"B5/001";"DVD"
Doesn't so too difficult, does it ;-)
Any hint is welcome.

Sorry Alessio, but in 5.4.4.0 the bug is not fixed.
I tried to import
"Titel";"CatalogNo";"Medium"
"Winnetou I";"B5/001";"DVD"
The status-line throws so much error messages that I can't read them all. Is there any option to save debug-messages to a text-file. Maybe this will help debugging.
The dialog-box anyway tells me, the import finished successfully, but not any film gets imported.
Maybe some additional work is necessary.

Hi Alessio,
just tried to import usin veriosn 5.4.7.0. And it didn't work as well. To prove, I did a screen movie from my actions. Are You interesed in watching this movie? Maybe I'm just too stupid, but obviously I'd don't think so ;-)-

BTW. I found a solution to import my new movies:
I installed a 4.8 version on the same computer, then imported my csv-list using EMM 4.8 and the imported the old 4.8 database to 5.x.
A little bit wired, but it is working so far. |
