hello,
I'm evaluating this manager. it looks very powerful and featureful. And what I searched for a long time. but it's very slow on my computer. is it some problem with my computer/config or is it expected behaviour? e.g. I see example database with several films. I click one film and I wait 15-20 seconds when information about this film will be shown. |

I did try to reinstall dotnet and XMM too. it didn't help. also I did calculate startup time of the application. it's about 3.5 mins. Though interface works normally, all menus are opened fasts. looks like slowing only at time of access the database. |

ok, did fix the problem by myself. for others who will have the same problem: this is because of logging is enabled for odbc driver. go to odbc manager, select "tracing" tab, and use button like "stop tracing now". now this soft works fast :) |

Sounds interesting (as I also find it XMM 5 very slow) but for us non-techies, where is the odbc manager? Is this an XMM setting or a system wide setting? If system wide, what else might be affected? TFAI

Ahha - found it. For those that come after, look in Control Panel->Admin Tools->Data Sources (ODBC)under the 'tracing' tab Sadly tracing was not switched on for me so XXM remains very slow |

Hi Ricewind and sorry for my late reply!
There is some particular situation where XMM is slow? (I mean at startup, or when you refresh the grid...)
Thank you,
Alessio |
