heya,
ok - its took me a good fortnight or so, but I've finally managed to fully import my databases with new covers and info etc, from the old 4.8 database, thanks to Alessio.
I've just come to finally start updating the lists. However, theres something thats kind of missing that is nearly doubling how long it takes me to update the list.
Now I generally keep my movies in divx format, stored on dvdrs, so usually there are 3 to 6 movies per disc.
In the past, on 4.8 when I used to use the No.CD field as a catalogue number, by pressing the Add button and then choosing to add multiple titles. I would fill in the field NoCD before I pressed ok and added those 6 titles. The 6 movies would then be added and the NoCD box would have been filled with that exact value I put in.
I keep my movies with a case cade so I know which hard or soft case they're stored in - eg C45 (for case C sleeve 45), etc
Now in the new Movie Manager, If I add by using the multiple files by text option, the only way I can add the case code, (now in the correect field catalogue id of course), is by finding each movie manually and putting pasting the code number in the box.
If I try using the option to automatically add catalogue number, and put in a figure, eg B251, then the first movie added gets the B251 cat ID, the rest get 1, 2, 3 and 4 etc so I still need to do them manually. Quite slow when its a large database.
Is there anyway, or if not could you please add the button, so that if I want to add multiple names by text, that it will use the same catalogue id number for each
for example.... I type in:-
Movie1 Movie2 Movie3 Movie4 Movie5 Movie6
and then tick a button something like "Use this catalogueID for all" and put in the number B47, then when they're added they will automatically have the B47 filled in for all 6 of the files?
thanks for checking this out, Tuck
