Hi Alessio,

I was just playing around with the newer feature you added to episodes...linking movie files. very cool.

I do have a suggestion to make it even better. Right now those file are statically linked to a fixed drive location. I can live with that if I'm careful about the order I plug in external drives. But would be really neat is if XMM scanned any attatched external drive for their serial and a matching name and THEN looked for the specific file. That way it wouldn't matter what drive letter windows assigned, the file would play if the drive was plugged in.

A shareware program called "Where is it" does this with external media so I almost never have to tell it where (which drive letter) to look for things. Maybe they could give some help (it can't hurt to ask anyway).

I had a problem about importing a large amount of movies from an external disk which letter has changed, it was not really funny to make the cleanup :)
Using the disk-id should be great to avoid this kind of problem, like backup programs are doing.

Hi Guys,

There is a function to replace a string in the filename field. For example, if you have your movies in the "c:\mymovies\" folder and you have moved in "f:\documents\mymovies" you can use this function (available in the Multiple Changes) o replace the "c:\" -> "f:\documents\"

Maybe can be applied also to external disk (?).

Yes, it can be done this way but there is still a problem when importing files. importing from a changed letter will make a lot of double entries.
