Hi When I launch the newly installed EMM version 6.1.6, 7 and now 8, on my Windows Vista machine (Core 2 Duo E6750, 2Gb RAM) I get the following error messages during databse initialization: "This Database is NOT compatible!" "91Object reference not set to an instance of an object." The application then opens up.
When I try to create a new database, I get the following error messages: "This Database is NOT compatible!" "An Error has occurred, please restart XMM If this error persist, please conatct BinaryWorks by email ans send this ErrorID:F3"
I have tried to uninstall MS Access 2003 that was previously installed on my machine, but no improvement there either.
Thanks in advance for your help

Thanks for the suggestions which I will try
I think my initial explanation wasn't very clear : this is a new installation, I have never used XMM before, therefore I have no data to backup yet.
I have at two occasions uninstalled XMM, and even removed registry entries before attempting a reinstallation. One thing though, my 'personal user data' is stored on drive D:, not C: - this info however is correctly indicated in the config.ini I have recently updated Vista with SP1, but this made no difference either.
Thank you

Well, luckily for me there are two computers in the house and we were able to successfully install and run XMM on the second computer, also running under Vista.
It is a bit of an inconvenience because it means that I have to use my daughter's computer to use XMM.
Oh well, I guess it is more convenient than reinstalling my main computer from scratch - isn't that what is usually suggested when all else fails ?
Thanks for the help anyway
