Hi,

I'm sure you are aware of the many things, which people post in the Bugs section, and we know you are working so hard for them. Thank you so much for caring with us.

And we care for you too, so by wishing to be helpful, I would like to point out some of the thing I caught;

SPECIAL CHARACTERS
+ Starting with Windows folder paths, XMM lacks the full support of unicode. If there are special characters (like Ý, þ, ü, Ö etc.) in the name of the folders, XMM would not recognize them. Covers may become unreadable and databases may become broken. Please consider to take a look at this again.

+ Also, same goes with the internet scripts. For example with the IMDB script, all the special characters are imported as their related code:

&38; - &
&32; - < br>
&252; - ü
&231; - ç
&214; - Ö
&220; - Ü
&229; - å
... and so on. In my theory this situation even prevents the script from working perfect. For example, an actor name which contains special characters, is imported with a totally unrelated combination of words (or names) and the script can not complete itself and therefore movie titles, covers or none of the information are NOT imported for that matter. I don't know if these are XMM or script related, but please take a look at them; it takes so much time to "replace words on all fields" and it is risky.

RANDOM MOVIE SELECTION
+ I don't know how you wrote the code and I'm not sure if you had a spesific strategy in mind* for this feature but, it is such a useful and needed feauture. Though still needs to be adjusted in my opinion, because it becomes to repeat itself so often. In a +600 title database, the same title can come up for up to 8 times for only 30 clicks. Encountering a problem like this, one asks himself "What about all the other wonderful movies?!".

Thank you so much again and take care

Erke

* Repeating for a reason.

CORRECTION:

I use the random selection with the unseen movies and there are 189, so random selection works perfect the whole archive but not good with small numbers where I need it the most.

So the situation above; a movie coming up for 8 times with 30 clicks is valid for small numbers.
