I have Windows XP Pro SP3. I have been using XMM version 5.7.6.0.

I installed XMM 7.0.1.4 today. However, when I try to start it, the program starts to load and then crashes.

The initial Welcome screen appears.
Then the small window appears asking to select a language. I select English.
Then the Welcome screen shows the status of loading the modules and other items.
Then a small status bar window briefly appears showing "Re-initializing Grid".
Then it appears that the main window panels for the XMM application are starting to open up but then they immediately go away and nothing else happens - the application has crashed.

Any ideas on what is going on or what I should do to fix this?

Hi,

Have you installed the 7.x in a new forlder and not in the old?

Yes, I installed it in a new folder.

By the way:
This also happened on the later versions of release 6.x. That is why I was using version 5.6.7.0.

Excellent! I downloaded it and installed it and it started up fine.
