I really like this application. But before I buy it could you (I mean the developer) honestly answer that my iphone won't slow down and/or crash if I import 4200 movies I have. My exported ZIP is 212MB.

Ok, can someone please tell me how do I create the EXPORT.ZIP from XMM ?
I've wathced everywhere, googled, tried the quick help, tutorial, the forum search...
NOTHING
I need to transfer my collection to the recently bought NetWalk - Movies application ( formerly myMovies ).
But I can't find the option to export the EXPORT.ZIP from XMM !!!

Hi There!
I'm using the last release of XMM(i think 7055) and just wanted to export my database to my ipod. so i opend xmm and pressed the iphone-export butten. destination --> desktop. after some sekonds of working xmm said, everythings done, file was exported. so i looked on the desktop... no export.zip. i searched my completed harddisk for the file. it's not there.
can anybody help me with this??? |

I have the same problem. I am using version 7.0.5.5 running Windows 7 64bit. I click PlugIns/Third Party Applications -> Iphone/Import/Export and then click Export
The screen says Done!
1File Exported: E:\Data\Documents\extreme Movie Manager\export.zip
But no file is actually generated.
Any help would be appreciated
When I run ProcessMon (old FileMon) I see the following being generated by XMM:

Ok, I don't know why it does not export the file but I have worked with several scenarios until I found the right sequence and maybe Alessio can then find the root cause.
Here are the steps that fixed the problem for me:
1) Uninstall 7.0.5.5
2) Download 7.0.4.2 - http://www.binaryworks.it/download.asp?file=extrememm7.0.4.2.exe
I tried several versions going up from 7.0.3.3 and 7.0.4.2 works and 7.0.4.5 stops working
3) install 7.0.4.2
4) You can then test the export and verify it works properly, the software then tells you there is an update, allow it to download and install the 7.0.5.5 update and all the new filters
5) Everything continues to work and the IPhone export still functions.
There seems to be a difference in the update versus a full download. Hope this helps. |

Very annoying that the best movie manager doesnt actually work with what is potentially the best iPhone movie app.
Have you guys actually looked at how easy the opposition works on the PC and iPhone syncing... (collectorz)
Why cant XMM and Movies just be this easy.
By the way Alessio, I hate Collectorz, but it just works
Hope you get this sorted out soon.

Hi there,
I bought Movies because of that functionality and it doesn't work.
I tried everything mentionned here above including installing a previous version of XMM and then upgrading.
Right now I can do the following:
1) export the movies from XMM as export.zip
2) launch Movies on the iPhone (last version available) and start the import
3) when i use FTP client from XMM, can't connect to FTP on iPhone
4) when i use FTP client Total Commander, can't connect to FTP server either
5) I tried exporting the movies in "Movies" to see where the export.zip file is created on the iPhone and I found it.
6) tried using SSH and iPhoneBrowser and even iFile to move the export.zip created by XMM and replace the one exported from "Movies" on the iPhone; it can replace it, no problem BUT when I then do an import in "Movies", it says that no "export.zip" is available
So, right now, I'm stuck and can't use Movies correctly which is unfortunate. Can you help me tnys?

Ok, after having used FileZilla as suggested by Tom (from the development of Movies), it works.
But it crashes quite often. I updated to version 2.0.2 today and see if it works better. |

Hey Alessio,
i cannot export the file export.zip. Like some others already mentioned, the program starts exporting, but there is no file after that on the computer.
Can you please tell us, how to do that. I bought MovieManager and the Iphone-App especially for this reason. So please help us /fix it.
Edit: I am using the latest version of XMM on Windows7. |

Hi Admin, could you include the FLAG <seen> and <not seen> from XMM to export to Netwalk movies in the xml?
There is an option in netwalk movies to filter seen and not seen but the exported data doesn't have this flag exported.
