Hi,

i played around with eMM and the Media Brwoser for Media Center and found several problems:

  • german special characters (Umlaute) like ä,ö,ü, ß and / or \ or ? in the filename or movie-title prevents the Media Browser from being recognize the movie.

    For example if i replace it with ue for ü it works quiet perfect. if i use the ascii-code (ALT+0252) the movie is recognized but the place for the "ü" is empty.

    for example:

    Brügge.sehen....und.sterben.avi Title: Brügge sehen...und sterben?
    -> Movie not found
    Bruegge.sehen....und.sterben.avi Title: Bruegge sehen...und sterben
    -> ok (had to remove the questionmark as well)
    Brügge.sehen....und.sterben.avi Title: Brügge, sehen und sterben?
    -> movie found, "ü" -> empty space (ü made with ALT+0252)

    In the description from ofdb.de the Umlaute are also empty spaces.

  • Is it possible to show the infos of my burned files?

  • I burned some movies on DVD's. When i export the database to the Media Browser, the movie is not found. Is there any chance to get this working? via. Dummy-Files or something like that.

Best reagrds,
Ulli.
