I have Windows 7 on 2 different computers, both with 7.0.5.4 installed I can't add movies, I browse to the folder and I see XMM scanning the .avi filenames but it doesn't find any movies to import.

I just tried changing the properties of the shortcut to run in Windows XP sp2 compatability mode and I still have the same problem.

Hi,

Please make this test : create a new empty database and try to scan your hard disk again. Let me know if found the movies.

I have windows vista and 7.0.5.4 and have the same problem i'll try the empty database. It will import the movie information but goes nuts because of this error, and it will not add the cover, but the rest of the movie data will go into the database just fine. I've done the xp compat settings as stated above as well. My xmm was a fresh install. The file is in the temp dir, but just not copied over.

Nevermind on my problem, i still get the same error message, but now the cover is being copied into the right directory, and everything looks like it's working on the surface. What i found was an older copy 6.8.... on the harddrive and upon deleting that, the cover is now being shown. Thanks again.

Ciao Alessio. Anche io sto avendo problemi con win 7... Il file monitor non fa partire proprio la scansione... Ne facendo start scanning ne rileva i film quando si apre il programma. L'unico modo di aggiungere i film è l'aggiunta manuale dal pulsante aggiungi film facendo scansione dischi o qualcosa di simile. C'è una soluzione? Grazie ciao ciao

Hi

I tried deleting the database and it worked once, it wouldn't work the second time and I still haven't got it working on the other PC. I see it scanning the movies but it doesn't list them in the window so I can import them. I am using 7.0.5.5 now

I just tried again and now it seems to be working, I did nothing so I don't know why it works sometimes

Hi All,

Sorry for my delay!

I think the problem is that XMM is installed in the "Program File" folder.

I know that this should be the *right* place, but windows block XMM and not allow the writing of files.

I suggest you to install (or move) the whole XMM folder in the deskto, or in the "Program Data" folder (it's hide).

ma alessio io ho fatto un downgrade alla 7.0.3.4 e funziona... non so se ti può aiutare... adesso non ho tempo di fare la prova... sto abbastanza incasinato... aspetterò che la faccia qualcun altro perkè adesso così funziona... speriamo che qualcuno provi ciao ciao e grazie

ok nn ho resistito e ho provato... è in documenti e ha tutte le autorizzazioni possibili ma niente nn va... ora rifaccio il downgrade... spero di essere stato utile..

Scusatemi ma mi sono un pò perso.

Il problema è il File Monitor che non funziona, cioè non aggiunge nessun film mentre se utilizzate la funzione di scansione degli hard disk funziona tutto correttamente, giusto?

Ciao,

Stò cercando di trovare il problema del File monitor ma non riesco davvero a capire dove possa essere il bug. Il file monitor e la funzione di scansione "manuale" sono identiche, quindi dovrebbero entrambe trovare i films.
