Yes, the main job will be the Collection Manager of course, with the possibility to import data with MagicScript, but I think that also new features will be appreciated
For example, if I will create the Audio CD Burning, people can easily create an audio CD without open another software, select all files manually etc...
I am working on it, I don't know if I will able to do... I hope
Please continue to write suggestions!
Thakn you,
Alessio |

<Brainsorming> As Jesse suggested it would be a good idea to have an interface to start external programs out of extreme Music Manager, most of all programs that uses parameters to start. For example: -mp3DirectCut: If you want to cut a mp3-file it should be possible to RightClick or use a shortcut (or a button) to start MP3DirectCut in order to directly edit and save the file -mp3Gain - Winamp/Foobar etc.: I think it makes no sense to code an own internal player. Better intergrate the already existing players. -CD-Ripper: I also - like Jesse - like the EAC. An internal ripper should have a similar functionality (and ripping quality). Maybe you will think about an integration.... -Burning Tool: very good idea, because the ordinary burning tools are not very comfortable in sorting and composing of playlists/bunringlists. But please not only AudioCD out of mp3 but also mp3-CDs.

- MP3 test and repair tool (repair bad endings/beginnings, VBR header, bad attached pictures etc.) - Good Encoder detection - Interactive Jukebox Module (for parties) - Artist Database: like the Database of AMG (www.allmusic.com) with biography, discography and song list. It would be nice when the programm would be able to scan the album/track database and highlight available albums/tracks - Lyrics import: at the moment I use the very nice EvilLyrics program (in combination with Winamp). Maybe you can take a closer look at it (if not already done), It has a very interesting concept by using common web search engines for the lyrics search. Maybe it is possible to grabb lyrics data directly from EvilLyrics. There are also rudimetary karaoke functions with are - maybe - also interesting for your music manager -Chart/List-Module: I'm a big fan of all kinds of lists and charts. Therefore I would like to see a module that I can feed with lists like "German/US/UK-Charts from the stoneage up to now" or "The Rolling Stone Magazine Greatest Albums Of All Time". The program should search for albums/tracks on the list, highlight the found ones and store this list. Vice versa when I click an a track I should get the info if it is listed in one of my chart lists. - AudioCD Managment and possibility to connect audio cdtracks with mp3files </Brainstorming>

Hi everyone i'm still new here but i thought i might also share some ideas for the coming eXtreme Music Manager which i think it'll be a great one just like eXtreme Movie Manager. i totally agree with Jesse, but just like what the others said it's better to have these functions in a simple way or what's better is to make the program use a third-party software, and in this case u'll have the powerful features of both programs.i'm not sure but i think this will cost money to get the permission. anyway i like this program: "DVD Shrink" which is completely for free and it uses "Nero" for burning DVDs in a cool way.
also, i don't know if someone mentioned this before but there's a great program for MP3 Database called "Media Center" from "J.River" has some good ideas.
hope 2 c EMM soon :)

Hello Allesio, Great job on eXtreme Movie Manager!
I have a suggestion for the upcoming eXtreme Music Manager. I burn all my MP3's to CD-R wrapped (with albumwrap) as a single-file. Sometimes, I download albums to my Ipod without extracting the songs. Other times I will extract them. It would be nice to have the option to catalog these wrapped MP3's as albums. All the Mp3 catalog softwares I have seen won't allow this, and instead catalogs them as tracks under a folder. You could add an "albumwrap extract to" feature. These options would greatly enhance the cataloging flexiblity and usability of eXtreme Music Manager, while offering something that nobody else has... Keep up the good work! |

@Alessio
I think Guyver want to have the functionality of these programs in extreme Movie Manager --> http://alba.sourceforge.net/ --> http://www.infamus.com/albumwrap/
and: when you rip a complete album into one single mp3-file most managing programs "detect" these files only as a single track not a complete album.
bye the way: a good cuesheet support also will be very useful handling single-file-mp3-albums.
Bye Mawu

Hello again!
Thanks Mawu for explaining. I was away for a few days. Mawu is right about the mentioned utilities, and I do use albumwrap.
My main concern was the proper cataloging Of an album ripped into a single MP3 file, as I archive all my albums to CD-R that way.
Thanks Alessio, and to you Mawu for suggesting the cuesheet solution!
...Claude.
