I've had to re-organize and move my Content directories (movie & tv) to seperate external drives. I now have to change XMM to use these new locations.

As I started to think about it, it occurred to me that there is a good solution that could also be used to help XMM in many ways, including increasing the ability for XMM files and databases to be more 'portable' so that they could also be moved. In addition you could even have multiple versions or instances of XMM on the same computer.

The Solution would be to use variables within a Config file that contains the locations of all of the XMM directoies as well as the content such as Movies, TV Shows, Music and other content directories.

I hope that this type of solution makes it on to the futute to-do list.

Thank You,
Norm

Hello,

this should be already working. I mean that XMM saves everything in the config.ini file that is in the same folder of EXE file. You can make more instances of XMM without problem. XMM is also "portable", but of course you need the MS Framework installed to run it.

Thank you Alessio. I don't have the the MS Framework but I can still accomplish what I need without it. I REALLY appreciate your help.

Thanks
Norm
