I have downloaded the software today and unfortunately, the Russian fonts treatment is a bit messy. I don't (and can't) change the default non-Unicode page in Windows (I am using an office laptop), though the fonts are installed. When searching via kinopoisk.ru, the names are in odd ANSI rather than unicode that makes it impossible to understand. Then, even if correct record is selected, the downloaded information is incorrect as well (I used the film #1040;#1085;#1076;#1088;#1077;#1081; #1056;#1091;#1073;#1083;#1077;#1074; (Andrey Rublyov) as a test). More so, even if a manual search on kinopoisk is done and the information is cut and pasted into XMM, the fonts are changed back to odd looking ANSI type letters.
I would much appreciate if the author of the software would finally fix this; the software claims to support UNICODE fonts - it simply does not seem to be the case. [For instance, I had absolutely no problems pasting cyrrilic info into Movie Label 2011 (unfortunately, it does not support any other movie search site other than imdb.org) so it is doable.]
Thanks in advance. |
