I recently downloaded eXtreme Movie Manager to manage all the movies on my hard drive that I connect to my WD HD Media Player. I have a list of over 200 movies that I wanted to add to XMM. When I choose to "add movie", I am given a list of scripts to use to import movie information. I have individually clicked every script that is English origin, most times it finds the movie but other times it barely finds any of them. For the movies that the website finds, it won't import any information. For example, I have chosen the IMDb (all info) script and it does not import anything beyond the name of the movie and the year of the movie. I would like for it to import all information including actors and trailer.

Is there something wrong with the script? I know IMDB, for example, changed their website layout a few years ago but is there something I need to do with the script?

I have been searching on Google for information on the IMDb script and there was a release in 2005 by FreakBrother, which I think was release before IMDB changed their website, plus it didn't come with detailed instruction on what to do. I am completely lost and need help.

Please include detailed information on what to do. I really appreciate the help, I really want to enjoy this software, it seems like the best movie organizer software out there.

THANKS!

Do you have had already info from a previous import by another script on the movie(s)?
There is an option in the config (MagicScript) to overwrite existing info. That would be the easiest solution.
Or: in the Advanced Options on import - skip if more than one movie is found...

Btw. Nearly all the sites seem to change something periodically. There are not only the big changes that every user sees at first sight.

I hope the above hints will solve your problem ;)

In order to achieve what is possible, you have to try the impossible over and over again.
