sometimes when i update from internet i get multiple results. for example when i searched for: "Daydream Nation" it found only this movie but showed it 4 times in the result.
I've had that happen too. Like on IMDB it will give it then 3 or 4 more like it might even have some blanks inbetween. I guess grab the one that matches.
yes, they are the same, i just choose one of them, but this shouldn't be that way. if you want to update many movies and you want for each movie to have one result so it will take it automatically...
put the IMDB link in custom field 8 (or have it in a NFO file) with the movie when you import it so it does it for you and then it automatically will get the correct one EVERY time :-)
even if i add a new movie? you suggest that each time i want to add a new movie i should search it on imdb, copy the link to the custom field and than update? sorry man thats too absurd and takes too much time, and misses the point of XMM.
I don't know how you get your movies to add to your database...Mine come from newsgroups and they have the IMDB link with them. If you download from a movies sharing forum they have the link too. Release groups place a NFO file with theirs and if you include that with your movie it will read the IMDB from there when you add them to EMM automatically. It would be nice if EMM could automatically find the correct one every time but unfortunately there are multiples at times and it requires human intervention then to ensure you get the correct one. You can also set the option in the IMDB script for EMM to automatically take the first link and then you won't have to make a choice...that way it will do it automatically for you so you don't have to enter the IMDB link if you prefer too.
I think you didn't get what i meant when i said multiple results. I know that on imdb there are some films that have similar titles, i don't talk about that. I talk about seraches that return the same result, the same movie, more than once. it wasn't like that some updates ago, and needs to be fixed. I prefer the option that automatucaly takes the link if there's only one result.
