I just downloaded Music Manager to try it for the first time. I want to use it to catalog my music cassettes. You young pups probably don't remember this format-
Please add this format to the list of drop-down formats! When you do then I can try to try it again... Without it there's no point in me even continuing.
It has promise- there is a dire need for a good music cataloging program. I've tried them all and haven't found a decent one. The best is Helium but 1) it's too expensive and 2) you have to separately install an SQL database which hardly ever works correctly with the program. If you can get Music Manager up to the level of quality of Extreme Movie Manager you'd be a force to reckon with!
OK thanks, that worked. Then I added three cassettes, and a window came up saying that the three artists I had entered are ready to be updated. So I clicked "update" (even though they'd just been updated) and the next thing I know there's a hundred artists that I haven't entered. So I delete them from the grid, but they're all still there in the tree.
It looks like this program isn't quite ready for prime-time... I feel like a beta tester!
Do long time users of eXtreme Movie Manager get a discount?
OK now that I've exited and re-started the program the artists are gone. So OK sort of...
There is already a request for an option to NOT automatically add artists of "Followed by" and "Influenced by". By the way: Although you feel like a beta tester, where do you have such a possibiliy to "work" on a professional prog like this and the programmer responds and reacts to your suggestions?
