Hi,
I've just updated My Extreme Movie Manager with the "Check Updates" option and the program stopped working.
I've 2 pop up windows that just donīt stop showing, no matter how many times I click OK:
Can you please help me?
Thanks |

I'm having the same problem. Nothing I do will allow me to load any of my movie databases. Even editing the config.ini file doesn't help.

Do you already have tried to delete this .mdb.old manually before opening XMM? |

Yes, I did, doesn't work. Same error. I have also reinstalled the software, always the same problem. I am beginning to get desperate :(

Do you have the update or the full installation? If it's the update try the full installation please. Otherwise I don't know any reason. A suggestion could be to move your database to another location and try it again...
I only could try to open your database and convert it for you. |

Ok, I uninstalled and installed and moved my database and the software worked. Then I moved the database back to it's place and the software still works. The problem is that my database is empty, I guess that with so many errors the database is gone. Well... I have many hours of work to do, but thanks anyway... |

Did you have tried to repair the database? If you still have a backup then send it packed to me. Maybe I can do anything for you... @arcor_dot_de |

Repair doesn't work. I still have the database that I moved out, but it has only 5Mb and 14 movies that are not mine... I guess there is no solution, right? Thanks |

Do a search for *.mdb on your PC...there may be a backup copy..its stored under the users documents by default so if you have it installed as a different user....worth a quick search anyway! |

5 MB? That only could be the "empty database" as even the example.mdb has much more... |

Great idea but unfortunately with no success, I did the search but I have not a bigger database. I have the folders with the covers from the movies and pictures of the actors but the database has disappeared. Thank you both for your time. |

Okay, I figured out what is going on at least for me. Apparently, for whatever reason when the update first starts up after updating, its going to the original "Extreme Movie Manager" folder under "documents". This is rather strange. Admittedly, I didn't do anything with the original directory after the software update which took me from version 6 to version 7 so I don't know how all this goes together. I renamed the original directory to something else and it fixed the problem. Now, everything is loading fine.
