Hello,

What do you mean "When I add a new movie"? When you import info from internet?

When you click on the button its normal because it load up all the comboboxes, but when the edit window has finished loading the cpu should stay at 0%

Indeed, I think the entire memory & disk cache management (physical & virtual Ram) is not optimal!
Already on startup, for example, XMM loads over 100 MB of virtual memory, just to open a database of barely 3 MBs, ... and as you start browsing your collection this quickly grows to over 200 MB virtual, plus over 100 MB physical memory!
Is that really necessary? s far as I know, modern applications do not load all required modules, scripts, libraries etc. on startup, but only when requested, in order to save resources. Or they provide options to disable features you don't need, such as statistics, plugins etc.
I really like XMM, but please try to make it more convenient to use!

You are right Andreas, XMM load a lot of things on startup. I have plan, probably next year, to rebuild XMM in every part, so I hope it will be more quick and more stable at all.

Ale
