as much as I like XMM it upsets me in the importing of files from the hdd. it does not read my files properly. I name my movies in this format:
Title of movie (2010) Drama Mystery Thriller.avi
There should be a wizard in importing.
I have to reenter 40-60% of my movies :(
also my options under Database cannot be resized and I cannot see all options. it is fixed and I cant see everything in the options.. WIth that when I try to change some options when I close it they go away cause I am guessing I am not applying them cause I cant see how to do so..
Any help with both problems would be greatly appreciated.
THe program is overall one of the best in the market. just needs a few tweaks. :)
THank you

I'm not sure I understand what your saying so please don't be offended if I guess wrong. First, during the importing of Movie(s), once the movies are listed in the import grid (Scan HDD command), you have the opportunity to tell XMM how you have your movie file names formatted. This includes title, separators and so on. The only limitation is weather or not there is a field name that matches up with one of the items that is in your file name. I've not heard of too many people having a problem in this area. I can't understand your second problem unless your talking about the ability to display the Options menu? if that's the case, what is your monitor's current display resolution? and what is your computer system's character size set to? Those two items will impact what you see. I know that XMM allows you to change the character size of data that gets displayed but I'm pretty certain that the menu's and such use the default system character set and size. At any rate, I hope this helps.

You are correct apd, I was wrong... it is the Episode Import that allows the user specify the format of the video being imported.

Which brings us to this: Alessio, isn't it time you gave these capabilities to the Import From HD, Movies dialogue? |
