When deleting a TV show, I highlight the name of the show and click "Delete". However, the program tries to delete a FILM, not the intended TV show |

I've installed the latest update (7.1.40). It seems that the original problem has been fixed, but now it doesn't delete anything, not even the highlighted TV show. |

Amendment to the above message: the original problem is still occurring |

Further amendment: disregard all posts regarding the update - I'd clicked DELETE, but before that I was using a filter, which was preventing the TV list from updating to remove the deleted item. So the problem has been fixed after all.
Thanks for the update, Alessio, it's fixed the update after all |

Sorry about posting so often, but the problem's re-appeared again. I tried deleting another one of the TV entries which was faulty, but it still remained in the list.
However I noticed something which might have been the cause of the problem. The title I tried to delete just now (the one I referred to above, had a colon (;) in it. So I deliberately entered a dummy title without the colon.
In this case the TV show was "CSI: Miami". That title wasn't removed from the list, even after I clicked DELETE. So I entered "CSI Miami" (without the colon after CSI. Then I went through the delete process again. This time it worked, the title was removed.
I wonder if the colon was causing the problem to begin with ? |

I tried the same thing as before, this time using an asterisk instead of a colon, that wasn't deleted either. Maybe the DELETE function only works when the title contains certain characters ?? |

The DELETE function for TV shows still isn't working at all, working erratically, or deleting movies instead of TV shows. For instance I added a movie earlier today, Rio Grande. When trying to delete an entry for the TV show Start Trek: Deep Space Nine, the entry for the movie Rio Grande was removed, but not the TV show I was trying to delete.
As a result I had to go back and re-enter the data for the movie again.
I'm using the latest version of XMM, 7.1.4.3. I can't recall which version I was using when this problem first arose - it's frustrating though, when the function sometimes works, sometimes it doesn't work, or works incorrectly |
