When I add a new movie to the database, the cover images are displaying as broken links -

This is happening with every new entry I make into XMM. Any help would be appreciated. |

Try to right-click on the X-Image and choose Properties. In the Dialog take a look if the URL beginning with: file:// is valid.
For example it could be a problem with a special char in the URL-Path. |

For some reason, XMM is not recognizing new images as JPEGs, even though they are, in fact, images in normal JPEG format. As I said, this is only happening with new entries, but it's happening with ALL new entries. A right-click/properties on an old entry's picture shows that it's recognized as a JPEG -

Properties of a new entry shows the file type as "Not available" -

Any ideas how to fix this?

Try activating IrfanView. Maybe that solves your problem. |

Installing Irfanview and making it the default handler of JPEG (and all other image files) did not solve the problem. |

No, not installing irfanview. In the settings there is an option to de/activate the irfan functions that are provided with XMM. |

I see what you mean now. Selecting that option within XMM and re-starting the program did not fix the problem, I'm afraid. |
