Hello, I have a huge musiccollection, so I wanted to have an EXTREME moviemenager.
But starting up the application takes about 10 minutes and I get a 7 outof memoryexception. I have 4 GB of RAM and a quadcore PC.
Is there anything to speed up?? or have the database in SQL(express)in stead of MDB ?
What can I do to have it started up in let's say 1 minute ????

Please install the full version again.
Seems as if there is a problem with the previous installation (or Windows itself).
I guess that you have Win7? Do you have installed XMuM in the correct path and with the correct rights?
I need about 45 sec. to open the prog with a database containing 5419 albums. |

Well, I did and it did not help. It uses 25 % CPU from my Quadcore and 1GB of RAM. This with antivirus turned off. 5000 albums and approx 100000 songs.
What are the correct rights ??? I am the admin, I have FC, System has FC, Users have change. I have a quad core 2,4 Ghz The Windows index rates 5,8 on my W7 64Bit.
XMuM is onliest application that is hanging my PC, so it isn.t my PC I expect..... |

Well, I'm still using XP. For that I can't say really much to Win7 and the behaviour.
But I have a problem with XMuM, too: everytime I close the prog I can see a non-skinned titlebar directly on the skinned one - so I have to use the closing button a second time.

| well, I think you have to start a new thread about that :D This is about a outof memomoryexception and begging for a SQL version ;) So , you can help me out here ? I closed and I didn't get your double close..... It takes just 15 minutes to close down :S |
